The Samsung hard drive case uses a 3.0 USB connection cable that provides fast data transfer. Apparently, it converts a 2.5″ hard drive into a USB disposable notebook/PC that can be used with any device compatible with this interface with a 3.0 connection. Since the drive case is made of a metal shell, it is durable enough to shield the disk.
